These are the last of the beach photos that I'll be posting, I think you've got the idea of how beautiful it was there! How I'd love to be there right now instead of cold, wet, gloomy England! I'll get on and run through these before I go to bed. This was paradise! The photo below is of the zebu making their way up the sand dunes, these sand dunes went on forever!
A row of rickshaw taxis, they were the most common form of transport. I wouldn't fancy being the guy who pulls these along in the sand!
This next one made me laugh when I saw it, the little hut on the right had a roof and four posts in the corners to hold it up. No walls but somebody had gone to the trouble of adding a door! Lol! I hope it kept out unwanted intruders but somehow I think not!

I loved the pastel colours in the pools. I know it's only algae but the pale lilac looked pretty!
A bull zebu blocking our way! They're such gentle creatures, even this big bull was laid back.
He was quite a size! I'm glad he didn't turn nasty, he could have wrecked our minibus! He just carried on making his way up the road. Can you imagine bulls around the UK just being allowed to wander along roads?!
More pretty colours in the water.
We were making our way along this road, leaving the beach behind and going to the airport to fly back to Antananarivo for our last night in Madagascar before returning home. I've still got some photos of the spiny forest at Ifaty to show you. These photos seem to be taking an age to post but we're nearly at the end, at least they upload on to the entry much faster than they ever did with AOL!

I'm finishing off here, it's been a long day at work, almost eleven hours, and I really need to get some sleep. I may be back on Sunday depending on how quickly I can get my housework done. It's my last weekend free before Andy comes home from Tenerife.
I hope all my American friends had a good Thanksgiving on Thursday, it was also Andy's birthday.
Have a great weekend!

these are great and i am so glad you've shared so many of your wonderful photos from madagascar with us! the beaches are gorgeous...and do look like paradise, but those poor huts kinda bring ya back to reality, huh?? i wonder what they were thinking when they put up that door??
Jeannette thanks for sharing your photos, I am enjoying them immensely. Such beautiful shots! Gorgeous place! Laine xxx
More beautiful pictures, Jeannette. Wow, what a different world those people live in compared to us. I don't think I'd do well living in those primitive conditions. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures...Linda
Gabi send meows to the girls!
What great shots. I wish I was laying on the beach right now.

I hope Andy had a happy birthday and that he is benefitting from his trip. That beach is awesome. Those purples in the pools are so different. I still can't get over the trees growing in them. What a beautiful country. I hope you get your chores done and your studying. Hang in there, Jeannette. xx
Jeannette these pitures as usual are brilliant ,accompanied by great music ,its another world entirely isnt it ? ...love Jan xx
I loved all the beach photos!!
I kept wondering after seeing the homes of the villigers where did you sleep and finally I got to the photos of the chalets... So cute and right on the beach...
What a wonderful trip!!
Happy Birthday to Andy!
Don't work too hard.... :)
Facinating photos! You are so brave to go to places like this. It's too far out of my comfort zone. I'm grateful that I can see these things thru your experience!

I love your pictures. There always so beautiful Jeannette. Make me wanna travel around the world. AOL journals was a pain. AOL itself was a pain when I had dial-up.
I am finally getting around to see your pictures again - where does the time go!!
I love the beach scenes, oh what I wouldn't do to be on a beach right now rather than here where it is now snowing!! Far cry from a beach.
Love the hut with the door - geesh, to think someone lives in there is really humbling.
As always, gorgeous pictures!!
xx
Wow Jeannette, Just another day in paradise! It looks so beautiful there...and hot too. At the moment I`m sitting here with a scarf around my neck after a day at work that has left me almost frozen stiff, well not quite but you get the point. Right, where`s the phone? I`m going to get the first flight to Madagaskar...lol! ;o)
Love Sandra xxxx
It took over 20 minutes and 3 attempts, but the photos are wonderful of Madagascar. I was able to view about 25 more photos on the 'more beach shots' post. Then the rest of the photo's do not appear. Apparently my computer and dial-up, is at it's maximum capability. What a tremendous experience you had visiting. Of course, I will never get there, so it has been a joy viewing and reading about your experience. mark and salty
